Here's the NPC that the party probably knows the best!
He is a Samurai, and the Daimyo of the Koga Clan on Ithidor Isle. He has been assisting the government in putting down
a rebellion led by the Kurou Family, along with his brother, Kaiten. During the fighting, a great Oni Lord came to Ithidor,
and Keiken diverted a great deal of his attention and his forces to the new threat. They laid siege to the tower the Oni
had erected, and in a climactic duel atop the tower, Keiken defeated the Oni Lord but lost his life in the process. But,
it doesn't end there! Kaiten called together all the remaining Koga shugenja to perform a ritual, calling upon the Void Dragon
to reincarnate Keiken. The Dragon agreed, and reincarnated Keiken in the far off land of Londar. So, Rei (Scott's character)
volunteered to journey to Londar and bring Keiken back to Ithidor to stop the Kurou Family. But when Rei finally found Keiken,
he was teaching the elves the way of the samurai, teaching them how to fight in the open against the threat from Nerull.
So, Keiken will not return to Ithidor until Nerull is taken care of.
Now, you might expect a samurai to use a katana right? Well not this guy, he wields a huge no-dachi, which is extremely
deadly in his hands. His fighting style relies heavily on iaijutsu, and calling upon the power of Void to unleash devestating
1-hit kills. If he can't kill an opponent with one swing (which is rare), he usually uses his uncanny agility and reflexes
to disengage long enough to collect himself and attack again.
